Camera Club

Our meetings are on the fourth Thursday of each month and for the benefit of our newer members we alternate our meetings between the Bendigo Bank Community room and a field visit to take photos.

If you are new to Ringwood Clocktower Probus Club and enjoy taking photos (camera or phone), why not consider joining our camera club. You would be made very welcome.

HOMEWORK
December / January our homework for the year-end break is:
“Examples of good composition” – Using for example, Rule of Thirds; Leading Lines; Negative Space; Foreground Interest; Symmetry; Frame within a frame.

JANUARY
Thursday 22nd January is our January meeting at the Bendigo Bank in Ringwood East.
Looking forward to seeing a few photos taken over the Christmas/New Year break demonstrating the key features of good composition.
This meeting is also our planning meeting where we will develop a program for the rest of the year. Members of the group please come with your ideas for outings, homework projects and technical sessions.

FEBRUARY
Thursday 26th February is our February meeting. If you are unsure about the location, just give me a call.
Looking forward to another year of interesting field trips and helping each other to further develop photographic skills.

If you are interested in joining our group of happy snappers just give me a call

CLUB PRINTED CALENDAR

The Calendar project has now been successfully completed for another year, and some copies might be available at general meetings until they run out.

Tip:

Keep a backup of every single one of your photos. Your photos should never be stored on just a single hard drive at a time, because eventually your hard drive will break or be replaced. It’s not a question of if, but when. If you do not have cloud backup, consider using a removable storage medium such as an external drive or memory stick.

Meetings

The group meets the 4th Thursday of every month (except December as it clashes with Christmas) – from 1330-1600hrs.

Our normal meetings are held in the meeting room of the Bendigo Community Bank in Ringwood East.

Activities

As well as regular meetings at the Bendigo Bank venue we often have day trips to specific photographic locations.  Additionally, as opportunities present, we may invite a guest speaker to address the group.

History

We have been active since the inception of the Ringwood Clocktower Probus Club Inc. as one of the first convenor led groups.

The objective of the group is to help members begin the process of getting more out of photography by understanding our cameras and developing and expanding both individual and group knowledge about the various aspects of photography.

We have held photographic exhibitions at a number of our birthday celebrations whilst also producing our annual club calendar
