President’s News

Greetings everyone, from your new President of Ringwood Clocktower Probus Club, Vivianne Eunice Pereira Keys. I’d like to share another favourite, inspiring phrase I read every morning on the refrigerator door. It helps me ‘step up’ to face another great day! And to be a better person. It goes like this:

Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it! Boldness has genius, magic and power. Begin it now! Goethe.

It was given to me by a dear teacher friend and I treasure it fondly.

For the last 12 months as the Vice President of this great, busy, wonderful club, I have been inspired by the dedication of all the work the convenors and members do to make this club run well. I am honoured and happy to continue to carry on and make more things happen, with the help of the next Vice President and committee members. We hope to make your lives more interesting so you can experience more adventures. At present, we are going though some trying times. We need to work together and go about our activities, helping each other with FUN, FRIENDSHIP and FELLOWSHIP! So, let’s DO IT!!!

In conclusion, please remember to pay your annual membership fees and 13th Birthday Luncheon fees soon.

P.S. I am looking forward to my induction officially to Presidentship in the near future and maybe it could happen at the Birthday Luncheon on 20th May 2020.

Yours in friendship, Vivianne.

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT Activity Group Communication

Dear Members

Over the next few months, our activity groups are going to be adversely affected by the coronavirus outbreak. So as to keep all members advised of which activities are still proceeding or are cancelled, we felt that the communication of changes to these activities needs to be co-ordinated.

Consequently, we are asking all convenors who are making any changes to activities to notify Col Pask, either by email or phone. Col will then update their specific activity on the website under Coronavirus Update. Members can then check the website to see if they have any doubt as to whether the activity is going to proceed or not. This course of action is designed to prevent multiple emails going to members, when a quick reference to our website should answer any queries regarding club activities during the coronavirus outbreak.

Please see procedure detailed below:

Please use the club’s website for current updates about the club and your activity groups.

Our club website is

The HOME page of the website will show the latest information for the club.

For the latest information for each activity group, please click the required Activity Group in the club website’s left sidebar menu.

For any pages requiring a password, the password is the new President’s family name in lowercase.

Would all convenors please notify Col Pask ( of any changes to their activity groups. See Men’s Cooking Group as an example.

Our newsletter, Clocking-On, will still be produced, the above just enables rapid updates in these difficult times, rather than sending out multiple emails.

Kind regards.
