This Musical is set in Sydney in 1959, a city caught between the stuffy repression of the 50’sand the glorious liberation of the 60’s. It tells the story of bright-eyed bookish school leaver Lisa who joins the sales staff of the city’s most prestigious department store, F.G. Goodes, where she finds her world opening to exciting new possibilities as she befriends the colourful characters of the Ladies Frock Department – including her new mentor, the exotic Magda. With its irreverent humour and great charm, Ladies in Black is a magical fairy story sure to have you singing long after you leave the theatre
