Ringwood Clocktower Football Tipping Competition
AFL Season 2026
The Footy Tipping Competition Home and Away Season is coming to an end with one match still to play as I’m writing this summary.
We have one member who is likely to be first in the Club House at this point but we will not count our chickens before they hatch as he may come down with Bird Flu.
We have 5 or 6 members nipping at his heels who are all vying for second or third if they don’t catch the leader.
The Season has been full of fun as we all make excuses for our team’s bad form misplaced loyalty or just bad selections along the way.
We have a few Magpie supporters who we all thought their team would be Cold Pies but have still been Hot Pies at times, but wouldn’t we like them to end up Meat Pies.
The Hawk supporters have been severely disadvantaged as our team has had to play interstate more than anyone else. We have been kicked out of Tasmania and we have had the most free kicks awarded against us so much so that we have suggested the AFL Launch an investigation. 🙂
The Carlton supporters have come out of the wood work over the last 10 weeks but they still seem confused as to who will be there Coach next year. If you go down Lygon Street in Carlton you will see supporters holding banners asking for Malcolm Frazer to be their coach.
We have one Swans Supporter who come out of the blocks in the first two weeks of the tipping competition but after that her tipping has been deplorable. So much so I understand she has been watching the old classic Swan Lake to see if she can get her mojo back.
The Cats have been purring along as they do each year but never seem to be able to come up with the chocolates maybe because they still carrying hand bags.
